This presentation will include a brief review of the collaborations between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Lorenzo da Ponte, along with a summary of the opera and plays by Pierre-Augustin Beaumarchais on which the “Figaro” operas are based. In addition, the importance of preparing staging from the operatic score will be discussed, along with a video example of the role Mozart’s orchestra score should play in the creation of an opera singer’s character.
