Emeritus Faculty Lectures – John Menninger

University Committee Reports from anyone.
Departmental Support and Involvement of Emeritus Faculty : Recommendations for Improvement.  Our list of recommendations has been shared with the Provost’s office. We heard nothing back from them. I interpreted this as them having no objections.

 Old Business

Goals for the year:
Develop best practices for departmental treatment of emeritus faculty.
Monitor emeritus benefits: health care insurance, informational technology and parking.
Continue to provide useful information to emeritus faculty via our web site and direct communication – We have made together substantial progress on these goals and progress will certainly continue into the new term. Thanks to all.

Maintain the emeritus faculty lectures with the ongoing help and guidance of Gary Gussin.
John Menninger has done an excellent job of maintaining high standards in this lecture series and the the EFC members should continue to help John find new speakers in the 2018-2019 session.

New Business

Discussion of the Annual Meeting of the Emeritus Faculty. Is there anything new we should do this year? Any problems that anyone can foresee?
